Spartacus welcomes enquiries from prospective US sports nutrition distributors, importers and specialist retail networks. A useful first proposal identifies who will buy, import, hold inventory and sell each product. This page explains the commercial information to prepare; it does not announce an appointed US distributor or confirm that a product is cleared for US sale.
Map the proposed route to customers
Describe whether you plan to supply independent supplement retailers, gym shops, your own online store or a combination. List the cities or regions you can actually serve, the number of active accounts and who will handle fulfilment and customer enquiries. Separate current sales channels from expansion targets so the opening order can reflect a realistic launch.
Assign responsibilities before requesting stock
| Workstream | Question to resolve | Written information to request |
|---|---|---|
| Product selection | Which exact SKUs, sizes and flavours are proposed? | SKU list and pack specifications |
| Destination review | Who reviews the product and label for the intended market? | Available labels, ingredients, origin and supporting documents for local review |
| Shipment | Who arranges transport and destination handling? | Dispatch origin, shipment quote and agreed delivery responsibilities |
| Inventory | Who receives, stores and tracks the goods? | Storage directions, shelf-life information and batch records |
| Sales support | Who approves listing information and handles complaints? | Product information and an agreed contact process |
Do not treat an approval or sales history in another country as confirmation for the US. Have the proposed products and route reviewed by a qualified local specialist before committing to import or sale. The documents available and any additional work must be confirmed for the specific SKU.
Build a first-order proposal that can be quoted
Submit quantities by SKU rather than a total budget alone. Include your preferred pack sizes, destination, desired arrival window and whether you need mixed-product cartons. Ask the brand to confirm available stock, minimum quantities, quotation currency, payment terms and shipment feasibility. These are negotiation questions; no fixed minimum order or lead time is promised here.
Calculate the commercial case
Distinguish the supplier price from the cost of stock ready for resale. Your planning worksheet should include the quoted goods, transport, destination handling, any charges confirmed by your advisers, storage and channel expenses. Use your actual quotations to estimate margin. A suggested selling price alone cannot establish profitability, especially when different channels charge different fees.
What to send with your enquiry
- Company name, website, location and responsible contact.
- Existing retail or gym accounts and the proposed sales territory.
- Products, pack sizes and opening quantities.
- The party responsible for destination review and importing.
- Delivery destination and a realistic launch timetable.
- Questions about catalogue, samples, quotations and ongoing support.
Start the discussion
Send your proposal through the official Spartacus contact page with the subject “US distribution enquiry — proposed products and channels”. Request a written response covering the product list and unresolved responsibilities. Exclusivity, appointment, supply, pricing and shipping require explicit agreement; submitting an enquiry does not secure a territory or guarantee acceptance or sales.
